CausesObesity is developed from poor diet or lifestyle choices. It can also be because of your genes. Obesity can be caused in several ways: 1.Not enough exercise 2.Eating processed or fast food that is high in fat 3.Drinking too much alcohol 4.Eating larger portions than you need Other causes of obesity can be lack of exercise. Lack of physical activity is another important factor that is related to obesity. In this modern day life people just play computer games and watch TV and relax but they don't do enough exercise. People also rely heavily on their cars and many jobs involve sitting.
The Department of Health recommends the following amount of exercise:
- adults - at least 30 minutes a day on five or more days of the week, and - children and young people - at least 60 minutes every day. |
